Action 2 EVS Training

Konstancin near Warsaw, 31.03.-02.04.2006

From 31st March to 2nd April I participated in training course titled: “How to become a hosting organization in Action 2 of Youth Program projects – European Voluntary Service” in Konstancin – Jeziorna (close to Warsaw). It was a training course organized by National Agency of Youth Program, the aim of which was giving participants detailed information about European Voluntary Service, its purposes, conditions of organizing projects, procedures and possible benefits. Moreover I got to know how to write Hosting Expression of Interest and how to prepare an application for Action 2. European Voluntary Service is one from five parts of Youth Program. You can read more about it at http://europa.eu.int/comm/youth/program/index_en.html. The target group of this training course was young people who will be responsible for hosting volunteers in their organizations. Professional trainers leading workshops gave me practical assets about Action 2 and coordinating projects.

What is more I had a chance to gain new contacts and meet people from organizations from many parts of Poland which, like SIR, are interested in non-formal education, voluntary service and organizing new fascinating initiatives. Those tree days full of workshops, discussions and good fun gave me information about issues, thanks to which SIR may prepare and organize projects in the future.
